Fine, I only watch football because of the players.

Certain players la, that is.

Fernando Torres, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Ashley Cole, Jonathan Evans,…and I lost interest in Cristiano Ronaldo ever since he left Man United to join Real Madrid.

Pfft, Ronaldo.

Okay, excuse my girl moments, I can never talk proper football e.g the kicks, the defense line or whatever you guys normally talk about. I'm not interested in that. He he.

Damn, it was an intense match last night; I was practically biting the cushion in anxiety as I watched, and I stopped breathing whenever the ball got too close with Man United's goal post and my heart thumped like crazy.

GAAAAAAH, it was a horrible feeling! And I almost screamed when the ball slipped through the holes in Van Der Saar's guard; I would have let out one if my family weren't asleep.

Oh screw you John Terry no matter how hot you looked on the field last night but why did you have to score?????

When I saw their reaction last night I thought, "Cute, this moment would look great on photos." And it did make a great candid photo!

Abang laughed when he heard that Chelsea defeated Manchester United 1-0. "Chelsea dah kuat sekarang!"

Whatever. I'm still a Man United fan.

English is tough.

Hello there.

So I finished The Time Traveler's Wife yesterday. Had to keep re-reading the last couple of chapters, and going back another few chapters just to make sense out of those two chapters.

I have to say the novel is the hardest book I've ever read, well, after Sidney Sheldon's collection of course. I think Sidney was brilliant; my father has all his novels. I love his writings, but at certain times I find it hard to understand what he was trying to say. I just have to keep going through the same lines a few (hundred?) times and then I'd get the general idea.

Conclusion: I'm not good with words. I can't speak English properly. My Grammar basically sucks. My vocabulary is limited. I envy bloggers with tiptop usage of English like Max J. Potter, Aizuddin Anuar, Pok Deng and Naressa Khan. I should have made an effort in English literature at school. Maybe I should change my course to BEN (Bachelor of English; UIA's version of TESL) to get a better grasp on the subject.

Alright, I'm kidding. English is tough. I don't think I want to learn the mechanics of it. I had enough of the mere surfaces of it back in high school.

English is not my favorite subject, it's too difficult. I rather crack my head over Physics. Ha ha.

Ps. There is a plethora (I Google it, it means "superabundance") of words that I don't understand in the novel. Since it's not always convenient to keep referring to the dictionary (and mine's not even Oxford; it's KBSM so the meanings are limited, how pathetic) while reading the book, I jotted them down on a piece of paper and planned to Google them later.

Told you my vocabulary knowledge is not that vast.

Now where did I put that bloody paper?

Why is love intensified by absence?

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

-Derek Walcott

"Long ago, men went to sea, and women waited for them, standing on the edge of the water, scanning the horizon for the tiny ship. Now I wait for Henry. He vanishes unwillingly, without warning. I wait for him. Each moment is as slow and transparent as glass. Through each moment I can see infinite moments lined up, waiting.

Why has he gone where I cannot follow?" - Clare

"And Clare, always Clare. Clare in the mornings, sleepy and crumple-faced. Clare with her arms plunging into the papermaking vat, pulling the mold and shaking it so, and so, to meld the fibers. Clare reading, with her hair hanging over the back of the chair, massaging balm into her cracked red hands before bed. Clare's low voice is in my ear often.

I hate to be where she is not, when she is not. And yet, I am always going, and she cannot follow." - Henry

It's been a day and I'm still not halfway through yet but I'm in no rush. I read and re-read every word in each line carefully while trying to comprehend. Loving the book already :)

Ps. Got two free passes to see the movie. Can't wait! Have you seen it yet?

Today is cloudy with a (zero) chance of meatballs.

So much for eating right. After a whole day of chocolates (literally) yesterday, I just had to top it off with a fast food treat today. Damn I'm good at giving myself off-days. I'm quite generous too.

Anyways,  I saw this movie with my brother earlier.

cloudywithachanceofmeatballs

It was quite good or maybe it's just me; because I'm a big fan of animations. I'd be happy to settle in for a whole week if you give me stacks of Disney's animation DVDs. Speaking of which, I can't wait for Dec 10th to watch The Princess & The Frog.

princessandthefrogconcept1-580x322 Saw the teaser trailer in the cinema and immediately went giddy.

So…back to the movie review (or somewhat).

The movie tells a story about this character, Flint Lockwood who has a passion for inventing things since he was a little boy. Unfortunately all his inventions turn out to be disastrous, until he invented a machine that causes food to fall from the sky.

You see, his hometown, Swallow Falls is a major land of sardines (everyone in town is in sardine business!) until one day the whole world decides that "sardines are actually gross", so the sardine business has to shut down and the people are forced to consume the leftover sardines. Yuck.

They make everything out of sardines, literally. Double yuck.

Thus with the success of the food machine, everyone orders their favorite food, Flint keys in the orders into his computer, and the computer will transmit orders to the machine, machine makes food, so everyone is happy. The end.

Oh, not quite. There are complications eventually but you have to see the movie to find out, I'm not going to spoil it for you. Or maybe you can figure out what went wrong by yourself.

Personally I think Flint is a sweet guy. I mean, yes, he's a little nerdy (make that way nerdy!) but he's really sincere about trying to help improving lives of the community. When he sees that people are getting sick of eating sardines every single day, he invents a food machine. And he is highly motivated in whatever he's doing.

Cloudy_with_a-_Chance_of_Meatballs Isn't it sweet when a guy makes a mansion out of Jell-Os for you?

The food in this movie looks very, very delicious. Can you picture yourself waking up to see your whole neighborhood is covered in snows of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream? Talking about food heaven!

I heard that if you watch the movie in 3D it would be so much more exciting. You'd get food splatters in your face! I'm hoping to persuade my parents to take us all to watch it in 3D this weekend.

Hey it's raining here in KL practically every evening. I wonder how it would feel like if it suddenly rains…pizza?

But I wouldn't mind if it starts raining straight handsome men for a change.

cloudy-chance-meatballs-traThis would probably be my expression if the sky ever starts raining men.

Fat chance.

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e! OK, I'm freaking myself out.

Sigh, fine, I'll admit it. Korean/Japanese dramas aren't that bad.

There.

Well, since I have an abundance of time in my hands, I decided to pass some off with watching whatever movie there is in my external HD. Then I noticed a folder labeled Hana Kimi. I was texting my friend Amaleena at the time, and was like, "Weh weh, hanakimi ni pasal apa ni weh?"

Amaleena: "Pasal budak pompuan nyamar jd laki, best gila weh."

Hmm. A girl dressing up as a boy, going into an all-boys school dubbed as the school of hotties? Bring it on! After a few minutes into the first video, I noticed the guy. "Eh, org yg jadi Sano Izumi ni mcm familiar je."

Amaleena: "Oh, dia byk blakon, cite conan pun dia blakon."

EH???

*gasps*

CONAN?

*Light bulb moment*

kudo

SHINICHI!!!!

*scream hysterically*

And the rest is history, I'd say.

I think I irritated my sister with my repeated "AHHH HOT NYA SANO NIHHHHH!" gushes practically every ten minutes, and my mother with my uncontrollable hysterics.

Well he is hot (or is it just me?), and some of the scenes (especially that dorm rivalry thing) are really funny.

And you know how loud I can laugh (or maybe you don't, but never mind).

hanakimi-e

Peh, sampai sanggup pi Google && Wiki segala semata-mata nak tahu nama pelakon so sekarang boleh sebut Shun Oguri, Maki Horikita and Toma Ikuta tanpa ragu-ragu. Dah hafal ni, dah hafal ni.

I started the marathon at about 3.15PM and ended it (after a few toilet breaks, prayer breaks, meal breaks etc; a lot of breaks, actually) at 3.45AM. It's like reading; once I pick up a novel, I can't put it down, so I finished all twelve episodes in one night. *smirk*

Mind you, I can still hear the opening song in my head. Ikenai Taiyou! Na na na

Okay, enough, Lisa Farhana.

Anyways, I planned to watch My Girl today but unfortunately the copies I had are not of decent quality. Gambar semua pecah2, rosak mood nak tengok. *sniff*

Oh yeah, Lee Dong Wook (hottie alert!) kind of reminds me of someone, but I can't exactly pinpoint who. Hmm.

4ae60118669860_fullLee Dong Wook *sigh*

Nevertheless, I think I prefer Japanese dramas to Korean ones.

Next on my list: Hana Yori Dango.

Sarah Kushairi, kalau you ada copy I sanggup datang PJ.

Seriously.

Ps. Siapa ada One Litre of Tears? Nak copy!
